The Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) phenomenon is now available for your online store.

The BNPL industry has exploded over the past decade and purchasers have flocked to these services, especially as online shopping has soared during the pandemic. Also, 80% of BNPL purchasers are Millennials, so this is an important feature to consider if your practice serves Millennials.

Zip, a BNPL service, will give your customers the option to pay in 4 installments spread over 6 weeks, interest free. For your patients, that means zero interest, no hard credit check, and no credit impact. For your practice, that means you get paid up front by Zip, and Zip will absorb the risk and fraud liability.

How it works on your store

Zip will be displayed as a payment option, where applicable, on your store. It will not be offered for any orders that include: Memberships, Auto-Replenish Products, or Gift Cards. If selected, your patient will be led through a 2-step process to enter their phone number and payment information. After payment is entered, they will be directed back to your store's order success page.

How it works behind the scenes

When you purchase Zip integration for your store, we'll put you in touch with a Zip account specialist who will get you signed up for a Zip merchant services agreement at a specially-negotiated DermPRO rate that is lower than Zip's standard transaction fee for sellers. Whenever Zip is used on your store, you'll get paid immediately by Zip, less the transaction fee.

There are no separate fees for ongoing support for Zip on your store. If extra support is needed, we will credit the time against your monthly support allotment.
